So ……… Whats in the Box???????

Today we’re talking about the much awaited Jane Davenport products that finally arrived in the shop a few days ago. This isn't a review as such, there's plenty of those on the internet, its more about what you get in the box and links to some truly inspiring videos you can watch.

Jane’s “Paint ‘til you Faint” Water Colour paints

I’m no expert but I have to say that I do love the colours of the Neutrals as well as the Brights. You get 12 amazing colours in each box. When you open the box each individual pan is wrapped with a drawn and coloured face on the wrapping. They look good enough to eat, let alone paint with.  Both sets contain three primaries so you can mix any colour you like [that’s a plus for anyone who wants to mix their own colours]. Both palettes also have a little inspirational insert to help you on your way. Jane has just released single watercolor pans so when you use up your favourite colour, no worries, you can replace it. She also includes information on the colours (like pigments and Light fastness) on her website. For some inspiration visit this video on youtube.

Jane’s Acrylic Paints
Surprise, surprise both paint sets come with not only 4 matte acrylic paints, but a paint brush and a stencil. The back of each set also has a mini tutorial.
For some inspiration visit Jane’s blog and see how James Burke creates six different journal covers using this stencil.

and visit youtube to see what Jane creates using her products.

Jane's Mixed Media Paper Pad

This pad contains 24 x 2 sheets of absolute yumminess, so if you're like me who saves my beautiful pages just to look at, no fears because there's two of each.  The paper is really good quality.  These are just some of the beautiful pages.

 Jane’s Rub-Ons

Decorate your scrapbooks or journals with these fun transfer sheets. The pack includes 2 sheets each measuring 9.5 x 15 cm to give you an idea of the size of the individual images.  From what I’ve read on the internet these rub-ons are really good quality and are very popular.

Jane's Mixed Media Journal/Washi Tape and Strips

You can easily adorn the pages of your journal pages or planner with these tape strips. Featuring fun phrases and patterns, these tape strips are a great addition to anyone's craft kit. You can even use them to personalize your scrapbook pages.
The journal tape has 7 pieces, 4 of which are blank in different widths so you can easily create your own designs.
Journal Tape has a unique texture that is the perfect surface for drawing and painting. Seal with Matte Medi-Yum and it virtually disappears into the page. Great for repair work and adding pages to a journal. Between 5 and 7 rolls per box containing a total of 38.4 m of beautiful tape.

Anita posted an amazing page featuring Jane’s Washi tape on her Instagram and Jane asked her to share how she created it!

Jane’s Mermaid Markers

You get 12 water colour brush pens pre-filled with highly pigmented dye-based ink with fine nylon responsive brush tips.  What’s great about them is that when they sadly come to an end they’re refillable Due to their popularity I think we’ll be seeing refills on the shelves soon.

Jane’s Collage Papers
These bright printed tissue papers are really beautiful and for those of us who are not that proficient at drawing there are 4 tissue papers containing 24 different faces just waiting to go onto your artwork. Another set has 24 face shapes in different colours, 4 of which have already been drawn. to make dainty embellishments for your craft projects. You can also use them to make journal or scrapbook pages.

8 different designs by 4 pieces each which is a total of 32 pieces in all.

You can even sign up for some free tutorials on her website. It is a fairly easy process, just add the free tutorial to your shopping cart and check out.  There is no charge to the user but you do have to go through the whole cart process so that the website is able to track who wants to be emailed when each tutorial is posted.  For those who do not have time to look around her whole website for the free product related workshops, click on  this link to go a page that explains the process.
